Fire Truck Fun
Last summer our family attended a festival for one of our neighboring towns. There was bingo, a playground, ice cream, and a silent auction. The silent auction was not a huge attraction for some reason. In fact, very few of the items had any bids at all. I felt really bad for the organizers and thus guilted myself into bidding on something. Evidently, I was the only bid. That is how my son ended up with a fire truck at his daycare.
For only $20, I won a voucher to have a fire truck come to a “party”. While we are planning on having a party for Edward’s birthday in July, I thought the fire truck would get more kiddo fun from a day at the daycare brimming with little ones than from a mostly adult family birthday party. So, on Monday, the truck arrived.
As you can see, the kids had a blast.
They got to hang out in the fire truck….
spray water from the hose…
and cavort with real firemen…
Plus, they got cool hats!
It was such a good time that the daycare a couple of doors over joined in the fun.
Yes, I could have spent the $20 on a pillow or candle, but isn’t this picture way better than those things?
