Tangle Tamer

May 11, 2010

We are a modern household.  That means we have lots of electronics.  Which also means lots of cords.  By looking at our desk area, one would think we were launching satellites based on the volume of cords.  In fact though, we simply need a lot of power to keep everything running.

What a mess, huh?

I decided that simply wouldn’t do.  Then, I thought up a simple solution.  I bought a decorative file box for $10 from an office supply store.  All of the cords are now neatly tucked inside – out of sight.  As a bonus, nothing gets dusty now.

Aww…Much better, no?

Yes. Great job with that situation!! We have a different one; new TV, a stand with triple GLASS shelves, everything can be seen, no room on shelves for baskets or boxes, etc. Since the cords were piled in back of the bottom glass shelf, I used silk greenery with a few large pine cones to hide all of it. Someday maybe everything will be wireless!

I fit into the section about being wireless one day. I’m already clueless. Good idea about the hidden cords.
