Picture Perfect Design – Bubble

April 28, 2010

I love wasting time by looking at all of the amazing photos on flickr.com.  This photo was too perfect not to inspire a room.

1.  This mosaic tile reminds me of bubbles.  I love the colors and the iridescent quality.

2.  A rainfall showerhead is the perfect choice for a new age shower experience.

3.  I love all of the natural elements you can see reflected in the bubble – especially the huge tree.  And, I love wood floors in a bathroom.  The beautiful contrasting colors in this selection ground the space.

4.  The curve of this gorgeous bathtub is reminiscent of the shape of a bubble.

5.  One of the things I love about the inspiration photo is the colors.  It isn’t the typical pastel palette one thinks of for bubbles.  I wanted to make sure that I got some of the deep golds and blues into the room; towels were the perfect choice for bringing vivid color to the space.  And aren’t these towel colors divine?

6.  Lastly, a teak stool continues the natural, organic feel of this bath.

Ooh, what a cool picture! You picked some great choices to represent it, especially the tiles and the tub.

Love the idea, and the tub. Didn’t need to check the cost, though 🙂
